ADULT SOCCER

What is the ADULT SOCCER program?

AYSO’s Adult Soccer program is designed to be flexible and easy to accommodate into your local Region. What’s great about AYSO Adult Soccer is that there is no right or wrong way to play, just that the participants enjoy the game. You may have to be a little creative in your own Adult Soccer league, but it is definitely worth the effort.

AYSO ADULT REGION 5185

Tulare AYSO ADULT REGION 5185

Tulare AYSO Adult League is a co-ed, recreational soccer league sponsored by AYSO Region 255 in Tulare Ca. The purpose of the league is to:

  • Provide opportunities for every adult 18 to 30 to play adult soccer

  • Develop Coaches, Referees and Volunteers

  • Promote Sportsmanship

  • Get everyone playing

  • Support the love of the game

  • Offer opportunities for adults to exercise through playing soccer

  • Players must agree to follow our Code of Conduct and work to promote games that are safe, fair and fun.

Method of Play

Method of play

Since this is the first year of the Adult League it is difficult for us to have any idea of how many players will register. We will base the method of play on the numbers of players registered.

All players MUST between the ages of 18-30 and be registered with Tulare AYSO Adult League and all fees must be paid in full to play.

Use of unregistered players will result in a forfeit of the game in which the unregistered player played in.

Drop in style
Drop in style will be used for registration numbers as low as 6 players, up to as many as 20 players.  On game day teams will be drawn lottery style, for example if there are 6 players, there will be two teams, playing 3v3. If 8 players register, two teams playing 4v4, etc.  This means that team composition will change each week therefore no uniforms will be issued, instead pennies will be issued to each team.

Field size will be adjusted to fit the number of players.

If an odd number of players are registered or show up on game day, then one player will be asked to be the game official. The game official player will not be the same person two weeks in a row, every attempt will be made to have each player be the game official one time during the season. The game official will act as a basic referee calling offsides, when the ball is out etc. If there are no odd players then a registered volunteer may be the game official, or the teams will self govern and play a fair game without a game official.
All teams will be COED.

Matches will be played according to FIFA Laws of the Game rules, NAASA and AYSO National
Rules and Guidelines unless modified by these regulations.

No alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, or noise makers are allowed. Spectators or coaches
suspected of intoxication will not be allowed to participate in their scheduled matches.

All players will be required to wear shin guards and game appropriate clothing, no jewelry is allowed.

With these goals in mind, please familiarize yourself with the following guidelines and the Code of Conduct.

Violation of the League Guidelines or Code of Conduct will result in disciplinary action from the referees (Yellow or Red Cards) and/or the League Board. Depending on the severity of the misbehavior and other factors (i.e. past problems with a player or team), players and teams may face any of the following consequences. Any of these actions may be taken without prior warning, meaning, for example, you could be expelled for a first offense if it’s bad enough.

  • Warning (verbal or written)

  • Dismissal from current game.

  • Suspension from one or more future games.

  • Expulsion from the league for the remainder of the season, or any number of future seasons (or permanently)

The decision of the League Board on disciplinary matters is final.

Appeals and Review: As stated above, our focus is on providing an environment that is safe, fair and fun for all players. All disciplinary actions are taken with this in mind, with the safety and enjoyment of the players being our primary concern. That being the case, all actions taken by the League Board may be appealed by going and finding another soccer league to play in.

COST

How much does it cost?

For the first season we will anticipate a "drop in" style program. With that no uniforms will be issued, only pennies. This will help keep the costs down while we determine the interest in the program.

Registration for Fall 2023 will be $60 ( that is $30 national AYSO fee and $30 local fee)
